BackgroundThis exciting venture came about as a direct result of the first Sing Up training day in June 2008. The staff attending the training enjoyed their singing so much that they asked if a staff choir could be formed to enable them to sing together on a regular basis. It is planned to run a twilight session once every half-term, when staff can come together and sing for their own pleasure and well-being. A wide range of songs will be taught, including some which can be used in schools. No previous singing or music reading experience is necessary, and all songs will be taught by rote. The choir is open to anyone working in a Trafford school or educational setting, so bring along a colleague! Rehearsals will take place in a different primary school each half-term.
