2006 - 2007 was an exciting year for wider opportunities (Whole Class Instrumental and Vocal projects) with around 20 primary schools in Trafford engaging in our projects.

Projects offered were whole class brass, fife, guitar, violin, recorder, clarinet and percussion.

Schools which took part include Seymour Park Community School, Victoria Park Junior School, Moorlands Junior School, St Monicas R.C Primary School, Cherry Manor Primary School, St Annes C.E Primary School,Sale, Navigation Road Primary School and Wellfield Junior School.

Worthington Primary School piloted a year long project on violin which was extremely successful and culminated in a concert at The Robert Bolt Theatre with children from Navigation Road Primary school who were involved in a Whole Class Brass Project. As a result of the success of this combined performance, Trafford Music Service will be looking to book the Robert Bolt Theatre on other occasions on order for a selection of schools engaging in Wider Opportunities to come together to perform to each other.

Following these projects some children are engaging in group lessons at their school. Seymour Park Community School, St Josephs  R.C Primary School and Victoria Park Junior School have employed a Brass Teacher though TAIT enabling children to continue to develop their instrumental skills.
