Trafford Youth Orchestras is a non-profit making organisation with its roots dating back to 1973. It consists of five ensembles, the Trafford Youth Wind Band, Trafford Junior Strings, Trafford Youth Sinfonia,Trafford Youth Concert Band and the Trafford Youth Philharmonic Orchestra. In all a total of over 300 musicians between the ages of 10 and 18.

Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council funds Trafford Youth Orchestras as part of its Music Service.

The organisation is based in the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, which is near Manchester in the North of England. Ensembles have played at local and national venues and toured a number of European cities.
